June 30, 2005 Hi all, Today had our crew spending quite a bit of their day motoring as the winds were very still and the weather hot. They did stop tonight at Skipjack Cove marina on the Sassafras River. Lat 39 22' Long 75 53'. Seems that tonight was the night that our wedding at sea actually occurred. To set the scene, the marriage was by the pool, signs outside displaying the "unlawful union of Sarah and Davey." Our couple dressed in their duct tape formal wear (bow tie and corsage). The entire crew made up the wedding party, marching into the pool area for the wedding. Skip gave away the bride, and they now wear their rope rings. Davey's Mom Melanie called ironically during the event, so she now has had the opportunity to talk with her new daughter in (un)law. Now that the ceremony is over, the new couple completed their first task together, which just happened to be cooking dinner. It appears that they were able to do this without bickering (newlyweds!!!). I also understood that Josh was far to willing to jump out of the cake for the bachelorette party. They never got to have a bachelor or bachelorette party, but maybe that will all be included at the reception, which seems to be in full swing at this moment. Now that I've tempted your curiosity (as is mine), this whole event supposedly has been captured on video. (This probably won't be one we'll show at our ship banquet!!!) Tomorrow, depending on winds, they plan to continue south with an uncertain stopping point although Skip was fairly certain they will be mooring out tomorrow night.
